Spoken words endure
Until the memory fails
Ergo, use a pen.

I like the title best describes my writing today
a very good small thought, and,
I'm yet, in a free state of mind

Sorry I haven't been on this website in a few months . . . I've missed you! I love this haiku, so true to life and down to earth, as your poems always are. I also love the title, with the nicely selected & matched words, as far as sound goes. Yes, sometimes it's better to write it down, huh? (((HUGS)))

"Haiku IQ" is quite a reality check; let's treasure our ability to think, make decisions, enjoy the process of critical thought while it is strong. Of course our minds to change gradually and then one day we just don't need them anymore hopefully as our bodies just get tired and wear out as all things do. Anyway this little poem of yours is a lighthearted look at the job we have of writing down our thoughts to enjoy later and maybe even share! Thanks for a cute poem............kathy

At the age of 87, I use the challenge of writing, as an optimistic attempt to delay senility. Although I can be serious, when necessary, I prefer to channel any anger into satire, as while I can .. more..
