Verse in con-text

A Poem by Norman223
"

Meandering around my mobile

"

True Shakespearian sonnets have 10 syllables

Haikus start and end with 5

But with 7 in the middle rules

So with 12 lines I’ll just have to strive

To write this verse - not devi-8

And hope the readers will remain be-9

In struggling through this second r-8

Indescribably boring 12 line verse of mine

With syllables in 12 varied metres.

The rules were in-10-ded to defeat us

 There-4,  I turned out 2 be

The 1, it seems, who was,  u  c.
