Seasonal haikus

Seasonal haikus

A Poem by Norman223

AUTUMN

Reddened leaves tumble

Tossed about in solstice winds

Nourishing the earth

WINTER

Temperatures tumble

 Man offsets heating bills with

January Sales

I have a preference for the first one! *smile* I love autumn, but the chill of winter has been slowly overtaking us here. We may have our first frost tomorrow. I've already burned a good bit of my firewood supply for the winter already! I'm such a wimp, when it comes to cold mornings. Let's see, maybe I should re-write your second haiku in a woodstove state of mind . . .
Temperatures tumble
woman offsets heating bill
enlisting young pup.
*smile* Fondly, Margie
