My Big Fat Mouth

My Big Fat Mouth

A Poem by Effie Ray
"

Kinda angsty, but I reckon some people will be able to relate.

"

My Big Fat Mouth

I shouldn’t

I opened

My big fat mouth.

I shouldn’t

Have told you

About myself.

You can just

Ignore it

I wouldn’t mind;

Next time I’ll

Just keep my

Feelings inside.

I’m sorry

I can’t be

Your perfect girl.

I’m sorry

I can’t save

The whole damn world.

I know I’m

Not pretty

Or talented

The thought of

Your judgement

Fills me with dread.

I tried but

I couldn’t

Be someone else.

I tried but

I couldn’t

Disguise myself.

I know I’m

Not all that

You hoped I’d be.

I hope that

You’re not too

Ashamed of me.

Wow, amazing writing, exceptional detail and meaning. Very well done. I think that the charecter souns like a great person, and anyone who doesn't love them for who they are is not worth their amazing self. Excellent poetry, keep on writing! :)
