An Untold Story

An Untold Story

A Poem by Nothing Personal

How many love stories remain untold?
How many hearts have ached?
Their tender moments of togetherness
And their bitter pangs of being taken away.

Wars have been waged
Soldiers have lost lives
The color of the party has changed
But 'some' love has lived forever.

I crossed the snowy deserts
I ran a thousand dreary miles,
I boarded the train headed to nowhere
Until I ran into you.

It took only a candle
And an ink blotted piece of paper,
Howling wolves and relentless snow storms outside
To openly declare my love for her.

Our love was epic.
When we united
The moon shone brighter
And the nights were longer

They sought Peace
After long & hungry wars,
I found Peace
Only in your arms and in the sheet with You inside.

I was condemned as a Poet
You were condemned as a revolutionary's muse.
They wanted to put us in Hell (within this world)
But we were meant to be and we were in Heaven.

Like in millions of stories, untold
Time took us away apart,
When my heart became like wet paper
I could not endure any longer.

I would give anything
To see your golden locks again,
Your blue eyes and tender lips
The feeling of family per se.

Waited for you through time

Thinking of our brazen days,
The chance encounters we have had
And the chanced separation which swayed.

So many times that i thought
I would not see you again,
And so many times has God
Brought You to Me again.

Finally on a warm summer morning,
I board the regular tram,
My gray hairs beckon me
My heart has started to calm.

I see you like a million times before
Your steps, your gracious self,
My heart leaps and bounced
As you walk away.

I shout for you, I scream
I try to run after
My voices fail me , So does my legs
I start to fall and falter.

Then I miss a skip somewhere
My heart starts slowing down,
I realize what's happening to me
But You keep walking away.

Before it all turns to clay
I steal a glancing look,
I ask God for a moment which is Forever
In which I have You.

You come to the funeral,
You weep by my grave,
You tell me about my unborn child
That You had bore with me.

You put down the flowers you brought for me
You shed a silent tear
You walk away slowly
And You vanish and disappear.

This is impressive. I mean that in the sense of it left a great impression on me. I love how you narrate their love and their loss. Its very personal and close. Bringing God into the poem improved the story of the boy. Good job, and it was a very interesting read.

Wow, this is strong and epic. I like the observational introduction. Everyone has their own personal love story which will never be told or remembered by the world, but it is none the less powerful for that. This is a thoughtful, sensitive, and deeply emotional write. It's almost hard to read. Absolutely beautifully told story, rich with empathy, but without being at all morbid or sentimental.

A amazing field trip in your words. Love is our greatest journey. Love for family and another person make us stronger and wiser. War will come. Sadness will come. Life must be lived. A sad ending to a poem with a lot of internal wisdom. A excellent poem.

Of some reasons this reminds me of a poem a friend once wrote. She isn't gifted with writing like you are though.
This was so emotional and struck a cord with me.
