Strong Enough

Strong Enough

A Chapter by Octob3r Star

Strong Enough

There were pieces of myself I had to pick up today.
Some from the past, some from the present,
some off the floor,  and some off my clothes.
Most unsure, revisited by a man from my future,
telling me to keep strong.
Though, showing me non the less how to do so.
Exhausted, listening to his twisted sense of humor.
I cannot from the likes of me begin to understand;
what keeps him from weeping?
What doesn't stop him from keeping,

strong?

He wills his soul to break intentionally.
Knowing full well the repercussions.
He tells me to keep moving, keep believing,
in nothing.
Shows me to begin with the possibility of something;
you must believe in certainty of nothing.
Somehow become a neutral idea.
In a verbose world so frivolous in imagination.
In a world where no one laughs at who you are,
how you feel, or who you love.
Seen by a fool in the mist of an adventure or fantasy.
Is something so tearing, so breaking, so heartfelt,
possible..?

As if this chain-linked fence would wither.
Why, why would this chain-linked fence wither..?
Away, as if it was never meant to stay.
Here, in this God damned heart.

Enough.
I'll have to leave that notion, this room.
Those memory, leave it in ways founded,
which were never meant to keep.

"Those memory, leave it in ways founded,
which were never meant to keep."
Sometime good to forget. Can swim in mistakes forever. A powerful chapter. Thank you for the excellent poem.

This is awesome man, I can't really tell if you were visited by an actual man or if it's a connection with the lord but either way it makes sense and it works! The ideas of being able to love whomever and be yourself are very inspirational!
