Commend My Spirit

Commend My Spirit

A Chapter by Octob3r Star

Commend My Spirit

How could you possibly live in the moment?
When fiction and fantasy are all you’ve read?
How success is established through perspectives,
baring stress and pain...

Commend my spirit.

When you’ve reached that top.
When the last human is yourself staring back at you.
It comes at a stake, and begs for congratulations.
How successful was your career?
How flattering was it? Put it in perspective;
these hands, they bleed...

Commend my spirit.

You’ve bought a vowel, a world of fortune.
Your spinning continuously, but can you stop?
Direction, your intellect, your congratulations.
Loose around your neck, but could you hold onto it?
This wound, it scars...

Commend my spirit.

It comes in and rides, right out the other.
Stops tracks so deep, tire marks scorched onto this pavement.
Still burns, but how far would you go?
Travel, for somethin' you’d die for?
My wings, my fears...

Commend my spirit.

This is a amazing series of poetry. Each with reason and purpose. I like the flow of thoughts and the ending of this excellent poem.

I can really relate to this; the different directions that are laid before us and the fears we have in taking risks. It's not easy but can be always be a little more bearable with the help of our friends. Nice poem :D
