Bite The Bullet

Bite The Bullet

A Chapter by Octob3r Star

Bite The Bullet

It was a faithful December.
Big party, fancy dining, little room.
A man dressed in black, all she recalls, all she‘s reminded;
his baby, it quivers inside her womb.

Now tell me why that wasn’t me.
Show me how to count the minute.
Raped and ripped she wouldn’t see.
Now remind me how the hell I didn’t.

It was a time, around this time,
two maybe, three years ago.
He lost his mind, he crossed that line.
To stupid, to naive to just say, ”No.”

So why the f**k did it skip me?
Convince me how I still seem attractive.
I’ve fucked maybe two-hundred, two-hundred thirty.
and yet, I’m still HIV negative.

His yesterdays, the last of days,
came creeping inside his bedroom.
How he shifts, how he sways.
How it’s easy to just assume.

How in empathy, could you not find him innocent?
A suicide, a commitment, he dealt with it.
Should you be so benevolent?
Blame the games, blame the schools, how "unfit".

A cause and effect, the way we see it all.
A moral corruption as read in, Hamlet.
It lingers like the riots of stonewall.
Creeps still, in each of our bedrooms...

And it‘s victims,

 just bite the bullet.

Strong thoughts in this poem. Hard to left alone to wonder why your desire left and went away with someone else. Strong description create a sad vision. A excellent poem.

I agree with your view in this. That people always wonder, how did it skp me? It's just life and people just move on. Awesome poem.
