Placid Persistence

Placid Persistence

A Poem by Odayin
"

Short and direct.

"

I usually get lost in those misty eyes you wear,
Staring into them, the light shimmering in the glare.
You lusciously look back at me with a smile,
And the connection starts, flowing like the Nile.
I love the way your features shine in the moonlight,
Holding you close, underneath the sky so bright.
My urge to embrace you seems to never be overcome,
But you oblige first, and it's equal to infinities sum.
My magnetic images slide through,
Suddenly your gone without a clue,
I know death is what seems to be true,
But I once flew, so I'll find you.

I like the essense of this piece. It's an apparation of desires awakened but held at bay by reality. (just give me a second to explain) When I read your words...this person felt so life like that I could almost see them (and it reads as male or female is the object depending on the gender of reader) Then it's as though they were there, acoporial being, and disapated within the mist...hands the last connection but as fatal as the being becoming solid. But the faith driving one to believe.. never falters in the dreams of their mind. (might just be how I read it) :)
