Rise and Fall

You tell me what you think..

I rise, 

I fall, 

I conquer,

My only demise will be my departure.

I scream, 

I laugh, 

I cry, 

My only flaw cant be seen from the outside.

But us with broken wings still fly, 

even with all of the questionable eyes, 

blinded by the irrelevant gawk,

hindered by intellectual talk.

Falling into every similarity,

possessed by what's fused into humanity, 

simple, yet so complex, 

as you do what you're supposed to do next.

Even as I fall, I rise, 

to conquer what's on the inside, 

I cry, as I laugh,

just to scream as I crash.

Standout line for me - hindered by the intellectual talk. Who's to say that the people talking actually know what tey hell they are talking about anyway.

The whole piece was refreshing to read - life sure is a a rollercoaster of a ride.

Darkly amusing and somewhat bewitching. ;)

I really like this. It's fluid and chaotic and irrational, all of which add to this poems quality. There's a sense of righteous insanity to it, which I enjoy.
