There's something in your words,

A sadness and a longing,

They beg for forgiveness,

They beg for understanding,

They say so much,

And they say nothing at all,

They confuse and frustrate me,

They block me out like a wall,

Yet I can read them like a book,

I've read a dozen times,

All I have to do,

Is read between the lines.
