We Are Asymptotes

We Are Asymptotes

A Poem by Meghan
"

A similar situation to "Sam." Ah, heartbreak.

"

We are asymptotes

I am blue

And you are red

Tremors threaten

To cross our paths

And born would be

The most fluorescent purple

Gashes

Of infinity’s rebuke

Again, short and sweet- a very nice sequel to "In Like". This poem heralded two firsts for me- 1. I learned a new word (I had to look up "asymptote"- the way you used it here was quite clever), and 2. I never, in ten thousand years, would have predicted that I would one day type the words "star-crossed lovers".
