 I seen her within the forbidden forest, which none are allowed.

I do venture, just see the one that stole my heart from chest.

 The one they all called the Cursed Siren.

You are a mermaid, such as from the fairytales, but you chose this lake as you home.

 The villagers say anyone that came before the lake you would drag underwater and bring them an early death.

 They call you a monster, but you are a goddess.

I see you, but dare not come closer.

 For if I did, you would smile so beautifully.

Then disappear beneath the surface.
