What is life without a spark but

a shade of night without the dark.

 

What is contentment without any

bliss but a pair of lips without a kiss.

 

What is sorrow without the pain

but a poignant sentiment inhumane.

 

What is passion without real emotion

but a lack of interest in total devotion.

 

What if life was a meaningless heap

a dreamless dream of perpetual sleep?

 

What if love doesn’t exist, would

anyone’s life truthfully be missed?

Wow...this one is a powerful write with beautiful flow full of wisdom. Valid questions indeed, what are the answers?? One suspects the answers are unique to each individual life. A wonderful write my friend, really like this one a lot. :)

Wow, amazing as all of your work is. But this one has an edge to it that I believe hits home for the reader. It strikes at questions of humanity and life, something many can relate to (if not all). I love how each stanza is it's own little meditative question. I really like this!

Life is like a box of chocolates, you will hate 3/4 of the box. You ask the right questions, and tell the truths that so many look to find...yet can't reach. As if they are a fingertip away to only never be touched. What if love didn't exist? Great question. I think we can see the answer if we simply open the paper and see the death, destruction, and rage that fills our news....do they love?
