Ephemeral

Ephemeral

A Poem by Ric Miner

If we were to move at light speed, would we ever see it? And if we did, would we even need it?

If I became more than a sum of inborn fears, would I see that there is no need to leave here?

That what comes, will inherently go, that none of us, could possibly know, what will stay past it's grave, grab our hearts and hold.

Is the I that I am, speaking to the me that I want to be? If it was to whisper a word in short, would it state that we're not compatible with yours?

None of this is real, but all of it, is ephemeral.

About
Mostly a poet and lyricist. I'd say I'm here because I'm looking for an outlet, and feedback, since my friends are sick of being a sounding board, and I'm pretty sure none of them are Engl majors lol... more..
