Where Does it Go?

Where Does it Go?

A Poem by Expresswithwords
"

Wrote this when I was in a bad place. I thought I was going crazy. This is why I love writing. It organizes our thoughts.

"

Where does it go?

The mind, a galaxy that spins on its own.

The greatest mystery of all time,

Stored between the skulls in our head.

I believe that all minds are connected,

As if wires linked all minds together.

The feeling of mutual love brings us together,

The happiness that cannot be explained by words.

But explained by feelings! A wordless paragraph,

A book without pages, or anything to see.

It’s just the feeling of mutual love.

I love the world, and the people it inhabits.

I see the heartbreaks in an enemy's chest,

And the heart inside an animal deemed invaluable,

Yet, the world does not see those things.

My mind, it’s galaxy, it spins so fast.

Sometimes I get dizzy as I inhabit in it’s space.

I watch the earth from my view, and feel so disconnected.

I can hear the screams from the blue planet,

And I can hear the conversations too.

I can see the beauty of the design of it all,

Yet all I can feel is the the screams in my own mind.

How do you go home when your mind traps you in,

How do I escape it? There is no way out!

How do I function as my mind works against itself?

Maybe I’m just overthinking everything.

Yet, we don’t know what this means.

How does something so intangible,

Affect my daily life so greatly?

When I look up at the stars,

And see how beautiful a simple night sky can be,

I can’t help but to ponder my existence.

What is my place in this big world?

Or perhaps am I living in another person’s galaxy,

Or maybe I’m living inside God’s galaxy,

Maybe there is nothing at all.
