Psalm of the Sands

Psalm of the Sands

A Poem by Toney Vega
"

Another collaboration between Blaise and Me.

"
Destined vapors of a falcon''z funnel, a talon toasts the sky
Electric dreams buzz through egg cream beams holding the pillars of my spirit
Sewn together with a horned lizard''z blood, shot from lizard eyes
Earnestly I seek shelter to shield me from the flailing wind
Ripping through layers of encyclopedic rock, a woman''z whistle
Tickles my senses and euphoria takes me over

Ostrich necks and scarab wings, heat so hot, it'll make you sing
Afterwards scarab beetles fill your mouth muting your silver tongue
Sand storms stop at the gate of seduction swaying palms
Inciting Isis to descend and show the end of life's weary path, a
Staircase song of liquid agave crystalize our hearts...

Nice, I like the story it tells and the imagery that pulls it together. The "Desert Oasis" was pretty cool too.
