Call You A Monster

Call You A Monster

A Poem by Nashville Rose
"

Monsters aren't what they seem. But then again, neither were we.

"

They called you a monster

And I guess that is true.

You bare your fangs,

At all who anger you.

Since they called you a monster,

They will soon get one.

For if you cast someone down,

A monster they become.

If you call yourself a monster,

You will then lose your heart,

Because your opinion is what,

Sets all those things apart.

They called you a monster.

But I know that isn’t true.

You use that scary mask.

To scare others away from you.

I won’t call you a monster.

Because it’s not a monster that I see.

I see someone who is hurt.

That needs a friend desperately.

Don’t call yourself a monster,

Because if you become one through.

I’ll have to become a monster.

To be alongside you.

They called me a monster,

And I guess that’s fine with me.

Who wants normal humans?
When monsters are all we need.

Nashville Rose
Just something I wrote for my friend with depression. Not to be taken too seriously.
