The Crystal

The Crystal

A Poem by PandaPeaceful

I wasn't flying in space
nor was I devouring reality,
but I was breathing in the dense air.

Waves painted the horizon
as I watched the shivering
clouds-
There was serenity hiding
behind the yellow sun-

A tranquility which absorbed
my movement, my thought, my emotion.
Arms carried me towards
the large crystal,
as I imagined my very being
dancing with the southern
wind like a petal, soaring
the great, blue sky.

Liberty had opened me like
a bursting glass-
For I had battled the cage with
valor,
despite the burning
numbers before me.

Long ago, fear had become me.
I was alone-
An evergreen ending surrounded
my past, as all I could do
was watch.
For my voice had been taken,
and my strength was lost.

But time came,
and soon my divergent blood
would melt.
For it was red and thick,
and equal.

Look at my smiling lips,
and notice the guilt
swallowing you.
For you know your actions
are immortal,
and now, this sin
is forgiven.

I liked the thoughts and the journey in the poem. I believe hardest one to forgive is ourselves.

I did like the above lines and the photo. Forgiveness is needed. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
