Anxiety of Society

Anxiety of Society

A Poem by L0v3craft
"

Yet again another product of my brief nonsense =D

"

From the eternal quagmire of society's stress
There lies the presence of madness and anguish.
And within monochrome dreams
We hide in refuge within the subconscious’ feigned reality,
Pressured into anxiety and loss of one's own free will
To choose which path shall yield to self-justice and freedom
From a cold, dark and empty world.

For a duck is blind and vulnerable in the real world
Than it was when slumbering in its shell.

Very interesting words you've used for this small and simple concept. Yet, altogether, you've made it a great deal with many meanings behind this piece... At the last two lines, after I finished reading it, it feel like I was reading the darker version of "The Little Ugly Duckling" but without the happy ending as if the duck never grew up to be a beautiful swan...

I'm impressed with this one, so it's all still great tho...
