Focus

Focus

A Story by Kathryn Smith

I know what I came to do
And that's not going to change

So go ahead and talk your talk
because I won't take the bait
And if my real isn't real enough
I'm sorry for you babe

What do run down, broken, disappointed, and hurt girls turn into?

They turn into an unstoppable force of nature.

They go from girls with dainty hearts and naïve wishes to women who fend for themselves.

Women who have drive, ambition, and focus.

They turn into Goddesses.

Staying in a timid shell while doing nothing but whining "woe is me" is exhausting.

It's time to let go and break free.

It's time to charge ahead into a wild wild world.

It's time to like what I like.

To talk about what I want to talk about.

It's time to not care what people think.

And it's time to stand up.

If people have a problem with you - it's their loss.

I'll do me

You do you.

Never to stand up and be counted. Valentine

I love the journey in this - the growth and maturity.
It's a piece that anyone who had their heart broken can relate to.
Love the "hurt girls become Goddesses' lines.
From a maiden in distress to warrior Queen.
Thanks for posting such an inspirational write K.
