England

England

A Poem by Kathryn Smith

You're just another recovering h e a r t

Red busses start.

Alarm clocks ring.

Windows open.

Birds sing.

Sun rises.

The heat melts.

Big Ben chimes.

People flock the streets.

Pride cocoons hearts.

Planes land.

Maps unfold.

Kettles on the stove.

Children smile.

Tube stations rumble.

Feet march and traipse.

The world I love comes alive.

Cheers to Joe and Andy.

To Nicole and Jess.

Cheers to Dan and his band.

The children of Croydon.

The taxi drivers.

The tourists.

You put me in a good mood.

A spark in my eyes.

A gate in my step.

You make my darkness  light.

You give me a little of your love.

I'm sending you hugs!

Your Kit Kat. xx

This sounds like it was written in the wrong decade.... maybe 1970's because i have not a clue what you are on about, firstly red busses never stop, the b******s go on all night. Secondly in today's day you don't need an alarm, your neighbours phone will awake you at 5:40 am every single morning because nobody owns a house anymore, they rent a room in a period building some greedy f*****g c**t has decided to convert to "modern city living spaces" charging extortionate rent for nothing more than a postcode whilst doing so. maybe this is the London charm you speak of? I wish i awoke to birds singing and people smiling, i would't have to start my morning with a heavy dose of medicine (cocaine) to fight my through the miserable faces on the tube.. love how tourists see the world, so funny! SW1 for life, send nudes?
