Love

Love

A Story by Kathryn Smith

I want to be there

Far away from here

I want to stay in bed with him

Make dinner with him

Laugh

Cry

Joke

Play

Why?

Because I love him

And I would love him

Every single day

Even as we age

For it is our hearts

That stay wild

And free

I love him

I love him more

And forever more

His love carries me

To English shore

You are welcome Kathryn.
Kathryn, often the simplest poems, paired with passion, are the greatest. I wasn't familiar with your work until reading this poem. I look forward to reading more. What beautiful imagery and emotion in your words and phrases.
