Blind

Blind

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

When you give unreservidly.

"

Blind

I would but have offered

every cell and centimetre

of me to your love and

your satisfaction.

No one has ever fired

my soul and my imagination

so.

Yet you held me

at arms-length

for almost two years.

I should have seen

the lack of commitment

veiled in promises

you never meant,

never could keep,

but in the warm

ray of hope

of forever I was  blinded

and now my tears are forever.

When one person opens their heart and the other promises to open it while hiding parts of it, there is trouble in River City.....big trouble and emotional pain. You have said it succinctly and well. Lydi**

Thank you Lydi
Sometimes it's the blind leading the blind, and we always and ever clutch at straws, it's human nature.

This is a poem so easy to relate to.

Strong and true write. Yes … I loved like this once and it didn't work out for me either.

Hind sight is always twenty twenty, and love is blind so they say. But there is nothing cliche' about this write -- I especially love the precision of measurement that creates a factual pain -- not just a figurative one -- very effective.

Yes thank you 'M' and you know the story.
Nicely Done, It is the chance we take when we love . It is the one risk, if done whole heartedly, that leaves an unseen scar we continue to touch for a lifetime.

It was my pleasure, Mr. Gabriel
That blindness works in tandem though, we forever seek to get that one glance and those of us that play never look back, well done, a good read.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
