We all have to make them.

The Choice

The apple plucked

a decision taken
to taste the fruit

of love.

And in that trenchant moment

the sacrifice was made.

And to all who came

after this

a price so high

was paid.

Ah, the very nature of man and woman made that first bite inevitable, and just think if they never had taken it, none of us would be here to write about it … LOL!
What price was it so highly paid, John, but so much bliss … it is extremely unjust to keep blaming Adam and Eve's love on all of humankind's evils, beginning really with Caine's, as the story goes, and the Lennon song lends credence.
