Ophelia

Ophelia

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Thinking of Tony and all those in her path.

"

Ophelia

Oh most noble woman

of Denmark,

you blow

with ferocious intent.

Across the seas

you rage

to ravage brothers

and sisters.

To bend their bows

and scatter

all untethered

intentions

to the four corners

of the earth.

In your wake

nothing

but cold, cruel

destruction.

A powerful hurricane on poor old Ireland. Scary thoughts on those in trouble.
