Yeah . . . so true. My mom was a bit of a worry wort about me seein' I fell down an outside cellar way when I was two. She was always there for me through thick and thin. Still miss her after 32 years.

A few minor conflicts when I was a teenager which was decades ago, but I have nothing but love and respect for my Mum. She wasn't just a mum, but a great friend too. She is in a nursing home now and only a shell of her former self, but I love her even more for her vulnerability. Yes, where there is friction it will usually be because our mum's have our best interests at heart and we don't see it that way. You describe well here in this nicely composed free verse, that there are two sides of the coin.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
