Goldilocks or Red Riding Hood?

Goldilocks or Red Riding Hood?

A Poem by Keira
"

The paths to discovery, so to speak.

"

So one day there were three paths,

And now it seems like there's just two.
When faced with one path,

It made me see the wonderfullness of the other two.

What once seemed like mystery,

Was now revealed to me.
And now that the mystery was erased,

It begs the question what is left?

The softness was gone,

And so was the gentlemanly ways.
And it showed me just what I needed to see,

That the path with the warm rocks was the one for me.
There's still the running brook,

And it still calls to me.

Through thick and thin,

No matter what has happened or where I wander,

It's always there in the back of my mind.

The path that I haven't gotten a chance to take,

Haven't had the opportunity to explore.
And maybe that's why it seems so alluring,
Maybe once I get to travel it,

It will seem just like the fog.
The fog that turned to mist,

To reveal something I didn't find in taste.

But I suppose I'm just like Goldilocks now,

Needing to sample to find out what's right.
The fog is too hot,

The warm rocks seem just right,

Will the stream be too cold?

I explored one of my paths, and I don't think I like how it went. Be sure to visit "Crossroads".

Great poem! I loved the whole path image. What path should we pick? Is the other ones better? I like the way you stated this. Very good!

What a wonderful, fanciful expression of our search for direction and affirmation! We always hope to know that the choice we made (job, marriage, on and on) was the right one, and there is always that doubt that haunts us. Beautiful imagery here!

This is really good. This poem really made me think back to paths I have not followed and sometimes wished I had. This is a powerful poem. Keep up the great writing!!
