No Greater Love

As I bask in the warmth of the morning light
drifting through my window,
I suddenly sense a ray of hope
no man can put asunder.  

For You have shown me in my darkest hour,
the peace of all understanding,
and through times of trouble and desperation,
how well Your love upholds me.

While I feel Your presence all around
with sunshine warming my face,
I can see the world through Your eyes, Lord,
and Your love of the human race.

Though clouds may fill the skies above
and hide the sun from view,
it’s raining angels to remind us there
is no greater love than You.

i think the switch to rhyme and cadence in V 3&4 is smart .. whether done on purpose or not ... it emphasizes the comfort I feel and is totally in tune with your words and theme ... your poem turns my thoughts and then heart to greater things ... the light that powers our ability to walk through the fires of life ... taking this one with me Dara ... keeping it close today!
