Windmills of our Heart

Windmills of our Heart

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Wooden shoes dance to tulips kiss

"
On the fourteenth of April
tulips sway to a lady of fashion
whose beauty can only be imagined...

Her warmth and passion give way
to dreams of faraway places
across oceans and waves of serenity...

The month of April gives new birth
to flowers and birds on wing whose song
wishes our romantic poet Lydia

A Happy Birthday on April fourteenth...

Love this perfect gift of a poem for a poet who has, over quite a few years, delighted me, challenged me, enlightened me, and, on an occasionally Friday Night, has left me breathless. Yeah, you can probably tell that I favor her writing. Happiest of Birthdays, Lydi** !

Your words are beautiful. Here is a song, on a related theme, as the mind and heart, although often at odds, belong together.

she is indeed my friend and you have done her proud with these beautiful words........ N
How lovely. My mother loved Holland and tulips, wooden shoes and windmills. She always wanted to visit the fair country but never had the opportunity in life. I hope her spirit has found the fields of tulips she so enjoyed. She planted them all around our house in many colors and enjoyed her gardening so. This was a pleasure to read. Bless.

So true. You are welcome...
A lovely tribute, Pat. Apologies for the late review.

April is the month of the year where an important person in my life was born as well, so I can certainly relate to this poem in relation to the special importance of the month.

Some lovely words and images used in tribute in this one. I hope your kindness and words were appreciated.
