Blue Roses of Christmas

Blue Roses of Christmas

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Blue dreams of memories

"
A blue moon hovers across an ocean of dreams

where sweet memories in blue lights shine for thee...

As snowflakes settle on evergreen trees

a bluebird whispers I love the stars that twinkle...

Once upon a Christmas past when wise men

travelled from far away places to follow a

Star of hope and joy and Noel peace...

The Angels sang Hallelujah to a new born King

and shepherds watched over the Manger...

We pray for all the children who need the warmth

of love and caring at this time of Blue Roses unearthed.

Your poem is a beautiful and evocative reflection on the power of love and the importance of cherishing the memories that we hold dear. The way that you use vivid imagery and poetic language to evoke the spirit of the holiday season is both powerful and moving, and I think your poem captures the essence of what it means to be a thoughtful and compassionate person in a way that is both insightful and inspiring. Your use of metaphor and symbolism is particularly effective, and I think it speaks to the resilience and beauty that can be found even in the most challenging of circumstances. Overall, I think your poem is a beautiful tribute to the power of love and the importance of holding onto hope even in the darkest of times.

Well done, Pat. I'm a little late getting to this, but I celebrate Christmas until after Orthodox Christmas in January. They need shining lights and festive decorations too. As always, Christmas is for kids and those of us who are big kids and as a reminder of the special gift we all should celebrate.

A good write.

A topical poem for Christmas, and I like the imagery conveyed in the lines, such as a 'blue moon hovers across an ocean of dreams'. I thought the use of 'blue roses' is a very good metaphor for those children who need warmth and care over Christmas. This poem captures the season of Christmas quite accurately.

Although Christmas has passed but the magic has not. Your lines celebrate the Messiah and the symbolic honor. A lovely poem and a peaceful message. I hope the New Year will be wondrous.
