A Sky of Possibilities

A Sky of Possibilities

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Heaven knows how people grow when sunsets glow in shades of gold and tangerine...

"
When I was young, flowers spoke to me...

The wind sang through leaves of tender dreams...

As life unfolds and a new world opens up like

sweet Peonies with breathless moments...

I see a Sky of possibilities where contrails become

shootings stars that fill my heart and mind

with waterfalls of pure emotion...

'The wind sang through leaves of tender dreams... '

These words are so beautiful, Pat. It's as if you've seen what I've seen, spoken on my behalf and then, as a gift, left me with a trembing heart and a broad smile. There's more to a garden than colour, there's that magical touch of nature taking its time, of lingering, of feeding the emotions.. of making memories. Thank you so very much.

That's how I feel at this season in my life. I'm so thankful for people who can express themselves like you do. What a beautiful song to the connection with Mother Nature and her wonders. Me too, I love the wispering of the wind caressing the leaves. They tell me sweet stories that smooths my soul. Thank you for this jewel.

I always love your imagery, but even more interesting is how your message seems to be circular, from youth to aging. It's as if you start out showing the wonder of a child ("flowers spoke to me") and then we mature, and later we return to this innocent way of seeing with wonder again. It's like a reward for getting thru life & making it to older age, when life can become simple & childlike again, if we let it. I love the contrails becoming shooting stars -- very creative! Possibilities are endless when we connect to the Source, when we see the beauty and creativity in our surroundings and when we share the fruits of our hearts. Your spirit is pouring all of that.

So true. You are welcome dear poet.
Such an elegant and whimsical look at nature and its healing properties that can leave us breathless and in awe. Pity is we are often living under a cloud of stress and look past all the beauty around us.
