Levitation

Levitation

A Poem by Patrick Paul

Levitation

Please levitate my soul.
"These chains will not let go!"
A gravitational pull
A glass half full
An itch to masquerade above deviant behavior
Leave it all beneath my feet
From its sin's to its desires
To the dirty scoundrels that pollute with exploitive powers
"Let these chains break free!"
"Let me swim in serenity."
Be friend a few monarchs and meet the highest clergy
"Let my most wrecked thoughts shred to white feathers!"
"Let them rise above my broad, beautiful shoulders."
