I liked this! Love may be a stable/shaky thing. But the true adventure starts when you're both on the ship when the anchor gets yanked and ya gotta ride those storms out together.
And even if one ship floats away and you're not on it, there's always one with a bigger anchor to go exploring! :)
An interesting and appealing series of thoughts, flowing along well ... I liked the charm of love that 'turns fever-pitched when fingers entwine' and thought a lot about the image of the anchored ship that is still free to sail away... and on the tension between love that controls and possesses and love that delights in freedom and the wind that blows on the cheeks...
I looked at this a bit differently. To me, this represented the idea of love being held steady (anchored) and, at any moment, passion could sweep in and carry the 'ship' away.
"A ship anchored and harbored
at dock - yet at anytime without
notice the anchor may be hoisted"
I see love and passion in your words. One only serves to compliment and heighten the other. I liked this very much.
Such indeed is love. Really nice, neatly laid-out and structured poem. The comparison with Hercules I like; the imagery is good. Subtle and simple and strong.
I actually think that this is the best thing I have read in a long time.
I really loved the words. Amazing write. I would point out a part I liked best, but honestly I just loved the whole thing this time.
Keep it up.
This one is going into my favorites. :)
Love is a world wide emotion, between lovers it can be a lifetime of relationship and yet it is like a ship...it anchors itself when that special time arrives and when the anchor is lifted (hoisted) time and love move into the next stage...and that is how love goes, it travels the world...
Sometimes i feel like an alien in a strange land..can you relate?
I love people and friends are just that to me , friends-if you request me as a friend it would be nice if you read something I have .. more..
