I Sleep to The Lullaby of Broken Hearts

I Sleep to The Lullaby of Broken Hearts

A Poem by Paul Velora

I won't say a word
When you leave
When you don't say anything

I won't say that I still love you
Or that I think about you still
Nor a combination of the two

I won't betray with my eyes
Nor hold my breath
Or breathe at all

I won't think of the time
You wound yourself around me
Or how my soul melted

There won't be letters written
Or embers to put out
Nor heart-filled eyes

There can't be time for us
I whisper when I'm alone
Odi et amo, excrucior...
