Dried Up

Dried Up

A Poem by Paza

Desire, once overwhelming,
Retracted most abruptly.
Intimacy, once effortless,
Exiled most assuredly.
Driven into the depths of my lonely soul
Understanding what is no longer understood
Promising to love you until the end, anyway

For some reason I thought of writer's block as I read this. I'm not sure if that was your intention, but it is indeed a layered piece.

I really dislike it when people say things like "you will get over it" or "move on", how do they truely know how strongly you feel, they can't, sometime time does not heal.

When you have truely tasted passion or all engulfing love, how are you expected to forget?

A great piece honey, short, direct and lovely.

interesting.. I often wonder if we can promise to love really.. or if it comes and goes as it pleases short but sweet and meaningful and thought provoking.

This poem is very good, and filled with subtle feelings and underlying meanings.

This was a very simple and eloquent! Lovely poem! I felt like you said a lot in just a few words!

This is a short yet sweet one... very self-explanatory. I know this feeling all too well, whether it be due to a "drought" when it comes to relations with the opposite sex, or within a relationship altogether. Excellent piece!
