Remembering You Through Sands of Time

T oday's not what I would have liked;
H owever, I'll be fine.
R emembering the simple things
O utweighs this grief of mine.
U ntil I see those rainbow skies,
G aze through the mists of time,
H ow I'll miss the love I saw when looking in your eyes!

Y ou always had that special smile,
O utgoing and unique,
U ntil I learned to look inside your eyes
R evealing all the depth of love's mystique.

E yes are windows to the soul;
Y ou shared your heart's own deepest love.
E ver, always, you and I
S eemed matched by heaven above.

I miss you more than words can say as I remember yesterday.

C an I accept that you are gone
A s I move through these days
N ot saying that my heart is grieving on?

S o many times I've shed sad tears;
E motions overflowed
E choing the memories from all those happy years.

I n the darkest hours of night
N o less than in the day,
T hrough the mix of flowing thoughts,
O ld times, forever, play.

M ost dear are all life's memories;
Y outh all too quickly flees.

S ands of time may shift my view---
O nly for a moment lost, but never gone.
U ntil the very end of time,
L ove we shared shall still live on.
