Looking Forward through a Hazy Past

Looking Forward through a Hazy Past

A Poem by Sharon Miller Bolander
"

If this poem seems somewhat hazy and confusing yet makes you think, I've accomplished my goal. Looking forward is often not a clear view when life's past seems hazy.

"

Looking Forward through a Hazy Past

Our planet family listened

With ears sometimes tuned carelessly.

Can we hear the dried tears of generations past?

With journal pieces quoting

The writing on the wall,

Can we smell the flavor of lost words escaping comprehension?

Yet nothing’s explained

From that infinite wisdom few have gained.

Can we touch the dust of death and suffering?

Or see some truth contrasting confusion along the path toward tomorrow?

i like this...we just don't seem to learn from our mistakes...and we make the same ones over and over and over.

by the time we learn it's too late..and another generation comes along to screw things up.
