Laughs Feel Better Later

Laughs Feel Better Later

A Poem by Pegs Van Damme
"

A brothers struggle with authority.

"
Lifes a game
and it's not yours

Played by
a set of rules
Layed down
by other hands.

Infringe
and color
outside
the lines

you might
find your-self
knocked-out
and color-blind

Best
invest in
lovely patience
or end in a puddle of muddled explanations.

until
you earn a pen to write your own

learn your lane,
drive the limit,
until the day comes
and the stopsigns dissolve
allowing
All

the pent up
   You
to break
out

of

the oppressive cage

locked by

unworthy authority

and your words

can break

the

shabby

bars

of an old prison

that one day

you'll look back
and laugh at.

;) comin right up
I love how you really take control, stand up to authority, test it, and take control of your path in the end.
Nicely done. :-)
