Dear label,
Look.
I despise you.
Hate you.
Loathe you.
Any other synonyms that mean the same thing
You're like a farmer who places tags on cows
Like a therapist pinning mental disorders onto people as a prize
I hate you so much that I can't even come up with another analogy
To describe how much I hate you
There's a lot of labels you've cursed me with
Nerd, gay, retarded, s**t, loser, must I continue?
Do you honestly think that simply creating more labels helps anything?
But here's the thing.
You've placed everyone into different categories
From the second you met them,
Until now,
They have been in the same place
They must abide by those rules or they aren't socially acceptable
I got placed in the "other" section
I'm not saying that I don't love them
I do
But why am I forced to have a label anyways?
Why can't we just all be people?
Isn't that what we actually are?
Is the a table in the cafeteria for that?

This is beautifully written. I think it is horrible putting labels on people. There is no need for it. We are all people. Its very sad but that is the way it is in life, it seems that a lot of people do this. You wrote this perfectly and got your point accross. Nice job.

why people want to label each other I just can't understand.

Labels are a problem whether you are young or old. They hurt and go deep into the psyche. Your frustration is justified.

Honest, wise and powerful poetry.
"When are you going to realize that we're all people?
Is there a table in the cafeteria for that?"
I liked the complete poem and the above lines were my favorite. I agree. We don't need labels. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
