Doubt Pt. 2

Doubt Pt. 2

A Poem by Elisa
"

Why am I so bad at loving someone?

"
Hm? Oh, I'm just thinking
Grasping at the strings of your love for me
Searching for a thread of deceit
and I don't know why.

I think I'm just scared now
That I'm more insecure than I thought I was,
That writing a sad poem comes easier to me,
Or maybe, just maybe, I still haven't found you.

It's been thirty-one days
of laughter, tears, trembling, ecstasy.
You told me you loved me
After thirty-one days

I said it too.

Yes, I am falling
Hard.
But as I fall, I brace myself for the concrete
that will shatter my skull.

You say you're different.
Doesn't everyone?

Hey everyone! I know, I know I've been gone for a really long time. BUT the end of the semester is almost upon us, which means more poetry to come! Aaaaand I have a new inspiration for a lot of my poems. Can you guess what it is? Anyway, as always, thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
