Bleeding lips and parting gifts

Bleeding lips and parting gifts

A Poem by Ashes
"

A little resignation isn't a bad thing....sometimes

"

Sidewalk bruised
and new city hopes high
eyes fluttered
really she could feel her heart stutter
like clumsy words tripping over bitten fingertips
it was all so horribly clichéd

Tragic tells must always
always
have their happy ending
because things never just are
that doesn't sell
it doesn't bring tourists
and that's less work for the hookers

Red shoes scuffed the ground
making more marks on the worn fabric
than the too hot concrete
cracked under months of use by natural weather phenomena
called overpopulation and nowhere to go
maybe there were new towns.

Ashes
I blame my imaginary friend for helping me pull this out of my ass...probably also the whole being up 24 hours thing. Who needs the details though, the mystery is more fun! XD
