The Infinity Box

The Infinity Box

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

What will the New Year bring?????????????????

"

The Infinity Box

Men from clay spawned by creation’s first breath

Choose to voyage blindly on a path towards oblivion

Leisurely abusing their complimentary milieu gifts

Assuming an eternal right of unfettered passage

Intimately they guard their clandestine futile lives

Boxing in the denigration of broken selfish dreams

Painting their façade in jovial camouflage emojis

To masquerade true nature of deceitful intentions

New Year optimistic glad seeds scattered yet again

Seem continually to fall upon earth’s stony ground

Laid barren by demanding egocentric asset strippers

Unwilling to replenish or amend destructive habits

Once in a dream some kernels of humanity hide

Within the safety of anonymous virtuous potting pots

Giving hope to that side of humanity left untainted

To plant a clean garden by the rim of the infinity box

The stony paths and uneven paths tha man chooses throwing his pearls to the pigs- in search of being accepted living a lie but pushing the truth back for within the paths of righteousness lies many trials tribulation and hardship- there wi be many but few- excellent words love it🌹

I was first attracted by your title, which I felt was an awesome way to suggest that the upcoming new year is like a blank slate & we can fill it with anything we choose. But then your message seemed to go in a different direction! Surprise! Still, I did relate to what you're saying (very powerfully stated), how we squander our gifts & fail to recognize our potential. It's like pointing out all the ways we mess this up, in the hopes we can keep getting a little closer to infinity . . . *sigh!* Fondly, Margie

Blessing to you for a 'new' New Year :-)
Yes, what will it?? That is the million-dollar question Phill. Love the optical illusion and the eloquent poetic diatribe. I truly hope, as you do, that mankind will beable to “plant a clean garden by the rim of the infinity box”. Well said! I wish you a most Happy, hopeful 2018 my friend!
