Does his love make your head spin?

Does his love make your head spin?

A Poem by Phoen-ix

I'm sure at one point in time, I was someone's cup of tea. But now, I'm positive I'm someone's cheap bottle of liquor. I know you won't mind if I stay the night, but please don't mind if my body is not next to yours in the morning.
I'll be gone,
somewhere else,
somewhere that is higher than all of this.

The first two sentences of this poem are simply incredible. They're powerful, personal, and philosophical. Those are the kind of lines that get poets remembered, and will eventually land you on many peoples' lists of favourite quotes.

Excellent work.

Too much time I have spent living your words... I am humbled. A beautiful description of the most dreadful and humiliating feelings we can have as we sneak out in the wee hours... Amazingly done.
