Back Home

A Poem by Pili

I stood by the door
Not believing what I heard
I turn around and hide my face
Tears down they race

Once again I watch you pack
Not wanting to tag along
Wanted to stay
But you pulled me away

And now I stand all alone
I don't want to move
For once I want to stay
Stay at least this week

I hate coming back
And feeling all alone
I hate not going back
I want to go back home

Author's Note

Pili
When I wrote this I was home but I felt homesick for a country that wasn't my own and it just represented all the times that I moved to a different city.
