Writing in forget

Writing in forget

A Poem by Pinkjumpers

I'm writing in forget

of you and everything you are:

the smile that could lead

one thousand men to rosy death,

to drown in your beauty and only need

you to speak so kindly

like you spoke to me;

you'd say you had never met

a girl like me,

never intended was he,

to be so true, so tactfully

honest in solitary

where his mind will always be.

To tell him how you feel

would give him your heart

where his torturous presence's

root will start.

It is from there where I now depart.

My goodness!! Did you intend to go so deep with this one? The first half ran from line to line, and by the time I got to the middle, I was taken aback by that raw honesty and crescendo of pain and truth you were about to impose on us with the very words you DID choose!! Wonderfully done!! Above what a "standard poem might resemble..... xoxo -Mark
