Destroying Adam

Destroying Adam

A Poem by Phillip J Clayton

Nothing left, destroying self!
All or nothing, kill everything!
The thrill of knowing that all hope is lost;
A life we once knew faded away like ashes.
The weight of the world
...
A
parallel labyrinth.

The thought of living;
Comatose.
Become what I create...
Strength beyond strength;
A jaded phoenix, watch me rise!

Sever these ties...Faceless in tragedy;
The certainty of death.

I am one and only;
Together we stand, divided we fall!
Death is second nature;
Over and over again.
A lack of satisfaction, now I break.

Say your goodbyes;
The closer we get the further we go;
Treasured moments ripped away!

The places I used to hide;
No blame to throw;
In the end I will give in.

In the professional space, I am almost a diety... I say that with the greatest of humility. In my personal life I am frail and a primitive man... Self-actualization is not all it's cracked up to be. .. more..
