The Awakening

The Awakening

A Poem by PoemRodent
"

When someones feelings are buried from pain and of a commitment and all of a sudden gets awakened it can be scary to finally feel ALIVE!

"

The Awakening

The dead lie silent for so long

Holding dearest a silent song

Darkness falls at every hour

Pain and agony devour

A comfort zone of despair

Numbness unaware

Feel nothing dark delight

Ghost inside bearing fright

Along comes a breeze

A presence of ease

I taste of passion

rippling in fashion

Breaking your mind

out of your bind

Exposing the weakness

Feelings sleepless

Now awake you face

the light of embrace

Your choice to come

or stay in hells kingdom

Now awake you face the light of embrace. I love the thought of coming into the light...And--Breaking your mind out of your bind...Also, the poem seems to imply choices you need to make as in standing at cross roads in your life. Thanks for sharing! Lovely poem!
