With His Last Breath

 

The earth filled with glory,

A calm settled as His Spirit released.

The pow’r of God shook

As His last breath He took.

 

His mission to save

Made the most perfect way.

Truth and life are in His Name,

The reason our Lord came.

 

The One who preached

Of love and set the captives free,

The One who raised the dead

Now gave His last breath.

 

A heartbeat given

To God, soon to be risen.

But first, the King endured the cross

To be found of the lost.

 

Obedient to the Father’s plan,

Christ stood in the gap for man.

With pure love in His heart,

He fulfilled the part.

 

The glorious Savior and Redeemer,

How greatly is our Deliverer.

The One who defeated death

With His last breath.
