The Mercy Well

 

Deep is its being,

Ever filled to the brim.

Its water redeems

The seekers of Him.

                                 

When life is tough

And you’re filled with self,

Let God empty you by truly filling you up

By way of the mercy well.

 

For He is bigger than your circumstances

And mightier than any sword.

The God of many chances

Is true to His word.

 

Fall on your knees,

And you will never fail.

All you must do is believe

In the power of the mercy well.

Stirring its water with His finger,

He lets His glory have its perfect way.

His love ever lingers

In a state of grace.

 

So, when your need is great,

Immerse your watering pail

And wash your burdens away

In the mercy well.
